Frequently Asked Questions

The purpose of our Palliative Care Center is to provide round-the-clock care to patients with serious, incurable illnesses such as cancer, heart failure, dementia, and complex medical conditions. Moreover, we aim to improve the quality of life through professional and constant support.

You can consider admitting your loved ones or close family members to a palliative care center when;

  • They have a disease that is incurable and hospitals discharge them
  • They have undergone surgery but still need constant care
  • They are disabled and experience extreme discomfort that hinders their quality of life.
  • Their psychological and mental health deteriorates as a result of serious illness.

No, palliative care and intensive care unit (ICU) care are different types of medical care.

Palliative Care focuses on improving the quality of life for patients with serious illnesses by managing symptoms, providing emotional and psychological support, and addressing overall well-being. It is not limited to life-threatening emergencies and can be provided at any stage of an illness, even alongside curative treatments.

ICU Care is specialized, high-intensity care provided in a hospital setting for critically ill patients who need constant monitoring and life-saving interventions, such as ventilators or advanced cardiac support.

 Our staff includes PSWs (Personal Support Workers) and medical attendants who are licensed, experienced, and qualified to provide critical care and manage complex medical conditions.

Palliative care is based on needs, not on prognosis. Our PSWs assess each patient’s physical, emotional, and psychological requirements. They create a personalized care plan that addresses physical symptoms such as pain, shortness of breath, and nausea, focusing on providing relief and comfort.

Palliative care seeks to improve the quality of life for patients and their families by:

  • Alleviating pain and other challenging symptoms.
  • Supporting emotional, spiritual, and psychological well-being.
  • Providing assistance and clarity for complex healthcare decisions.
  • Enhancing communication between patients, families, and medical teams.
